San Pedro

Travelling on the road has shown me a lot of things, mostly that you can never expect anything out of life. So imagine my surprise when I meet someone while playing guitar that has a house that we can use not to mention an RV in San Mendocino and on top of that some work for me and werk for my friends. Now I am in San Pedro for a week working  on a mural for a newfound friend who is decking the place out for his mother to live in. Since then ive been busking and getting $20 dollar kick-downs, eating shrimp for free at the Port O’Call and kicking it with very interesting people.

But lets start our blog a bit earlier in Ocean Beach. I went there a few nights ago and kicked it with the street kids, busking for some gas and a few bottles of Admiral Nelsons. OB is a pretty cool part of San Diego, and I would love to go back. There I was able to meet some beautiful souls and jam out and talk about dreams of an artist’s camp where we could just come and make something beautiful. I wish to meet these kids again, and was very much sure to get their numbers and to keep contact, not to mention a beautiful girl who reminds me of Erykah Badu and who I could very much fall in love with. But lets hold that off for another time, for now im here to enjoy the road J.

So my travels took me to Los Angeles, where we lost a companion Bobbi and met a wingnut named Time Master who taught us an interesting song, “Superpimps.” He also took us to the Laurel Cavern Tree House where we kicked it for a night. Some of the musical greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez and Janis Joplin played there, and me and my crew stayed there. I also met an incredible musician named Five, who I vibed with on another beautiful musical level. I definitely hope to meet him again and make some more beautiful music out on his boat. After the little adventure in Hollywood we ran down to San Pedro to see a friend’s home town. We kicked it around for a while seeing the sights of this little city, and just yesterday (after my friend rolled 3 wins in Craps and deemed the day to be a great day) we find the right person at the right time busking outside of Target who has a heart of gold and plenty of work lined up for willing travelers. So until we whip this house into shape we will be doing beautiful things in and around Los Angeles. I hope to be able to find a clay shop and some time to make more bowls and hats to sell or trade on my adventure. But until then I shall be traveling on and seeing just what life holds around the corner…
